Healing Massage

There is a lot of buzz about massage. Can massage heal? Do massage heal shoud we use the word heal and massage together. I vebture to ask a question what is healing? What do you constitiute as healing in your world becasue after all it is what you perceive things to be.

Perception plays a big part in the way we process information things that happens things that tranpires.

Say for instance you have a client who has a boating accident. He want you to come over and give him a massage. He believes that massage can help him but he has been accustomed to going to a medical doctor it is how he was raised. He was rasied going for yearly checkups, dental, as well as medical vision also. When he attempts to come away from scientific medicine and depend on an alternative way of healing. He will be filled with doubts worries he will seek to get the relief from the pain but also make sure the problem has been fixed.

Massage is about muscles manipulating the mucles in the body. Our bones are covered or muscles are connected to the bones in our bodies. Muscles are surrounded around major organs in our bodies. We have muscles all over our bodies.

Now we have touch something that has been an ancient art for years human touch something that we cannot get away from. We can be touched in many ways. By words, music, gestures, hands.

In the aspect of massage touch has been proven to be healing. When you put that inot proscpective massage can heal if touch can be healing.

Again in order for the above client he has to keep doing what the therapist intructs him just like he does what the doctor's instruct him.

In retrospect do not go to a massage therapsit with a problem expecting a solution if you are not willing to listen to the therapist as you would your doctor. Trust has to be built.

You may get a referral to a therapist as well as a doctor you have to trust the judgement of the one who referred you to that person. Or trust the testomonies on the site to be able to open yourself to the healing that the therapist has to offer. Keeping in mind that it is a higher power that has enabled that therrapist just as well as that doctor.

Choices we make them everyday.

Elderly Massage

Elderly Massage is the manipulation of the muscles in a gentle non abrasive way. basic effleurage is used some petrissage is used also. You can implement some stretching remembering at all times to be genlte. I have found in my experience that elderly massage is more about companionship for an hour than any thing else. We accomplish a lot in that hour. During an Elderly Massage you have to keep in mind that you have a fragile human being in your hands. They are metamorphising right before your eyes. They are going back to the infant stage as I like to call it. They have done their work down here on earth and it is now time for you as the Massage Therapist to help them in their transition. In the Spirit you will guide. You will let them know that it is ok to need someone else to lean and depend on someone else that You are grateful for all that they have contributed to this world thorugh all the work that they have done. In their daily lives with thier children and in their communities in their workplaces. In theri Emotional State you will guide them to a place of healing by listening, by hearing everything that they are saying. By being that companionship so many of our elders are lacking becasue their kids have moved on. Because thier grandkids have grown up and are leaving them. Because maybe they have lsot their soul mate and are awaiting their time to leave. We have to hear what they are saying and most of them are saying I am lonely. I am alone and I am afraid and we have to make sure we reassure them through massage. We have to lsiten to the body next say I am tired my muscles are tired my bones are tired my organs are overworking and release all the toxins that have hidden themselves in our elders in a gentle way. We have to help them restore their range of motion in a gentle way. we have to encourage and uplift and say what they can do vs. what they can't do. In Elderly Massage we have to heal our elders. When I first moved to Los Angeles Ca. I acquired my first client in Long Beach from thumbtack.com a wonderful place to advertise. You should go there You will get more business than you can handle. I have gotten all of my clients except two from them
